Passionate about Art and Textiles, especially of the woven kind, artist Fran White began her creative journey as a weaver.
More recently, as Fran has transitioned into semi-retirement, she has been rediscovering her love of painting.

Fran’s artistic practice is inseparable from her everyday life, her experiences, her reading and her dreams. All this is reflected in her blog where she tells about how she works and how she lives.
At the Charleston Literary Festival in May 2019, I asked the reader if I could take her photo. She was reading Normal People by Sally Rooney. As you can see, I played with ideas, mediums, collage and, as I often do, accommodated previously used backgrounds.
